She has a degree in Legal Secretarial Studies from Bates Technical College, an Associate of Arts degree from Seattle Central Community College, and a B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from the University of Washington.

Prior to working at Cozen O'Connor, Jeanette worked in various aspects of the legal field, including working with two sole practitioners as bookkeeper/secretary/paralegal, at the King County Prosecutor's Office in Word Processing, and at the Pierce County Prosecutor's Office as secretary to the Chief Criminal and Chief Civil Deputies. She spent six years at Washington Natural Gas Company working first as a secretary in the Rates and Legal Departments and later as a Right of Right of Way Analyst researching property descriptions. She also has two years' experience temping at downtown Seattle law firms, including Keller Rohrback, Miller Nash, K&L Gates, and Betts Patterson. She has extensive litigation experience in state and federal court in Washington, Oregon, and California, including taking cases to trial.
