Narrative
Julie joined the staff and attorneys at Nicoll
Black & Feig in March 2008. She has worked for over
12 years in the Seattle legal community as both a
legal assistant and paralegal. Julie’s work
experiences encompass a wide range of practice areas
including employment law, insurance subrogation,
immigration, securities and class action litigation,
general business, and complex civil litigation.
Julie obtained a B.A. in Elementary Education, with
an emphasis on Special Education and English as a
Second Language, from Western Washington University
in June 2000. Although she ultimately did not go to
work as a teacher, Julie was able to fulfill her
desire to work with children in need by volunteering
as a tutor with the Seattle Youth Tutoring Program,
as well as volunteering for special projects in the
community through United Way and the Treehouse for
Kids organization.
In addition to her employment with Nicoll Black &
Feig, Julie serves as an officer in the United
States Navy Reserve. Her first 8 years of Reserve
duty were spent as an enlisted member (intelligence
analyst), and upon completion of her B.A., Julie
received a direct commission into the Intelligence
Officer program. When she is not at work, Julie
enjoys traveling to warm sunny beaches and spending
time with her husband and their infant son.
